Wayne Hockett, Jr. was born Aug. 30, 1918 to Wayne (Sr.) and Nettie J. Hockett. He died Jan. 25, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.

Lt. Hockett served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps Co. D, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division and was MIA/KIA in Italy and awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Linden Dale Hoglan was born Sept. 13, 1909 to Herman Kerr and Inez May Van Note Hoglan. He died Mar. 4, 1944 and is buried in Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, IA. Linden served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

William Lee Holcom was born Oct. 18, 1925 to Eldo and Lulu Rariden Holcom. He was MIA Aug. 8, 1952/FOD Dec. 31, 1953 and has a cenotaph in Wildmead Cemetery, Nickerson, KS and is memorialized at the National Korean War Veterans Memorial, Washington, D.C. He also has a cenotaph in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

1st Lt. Holcom served in World War II and Korea. He was the Navigator of a B-26B Invader bomber with the 13th Bomber Squadron, 3rd Bomber Wing when his crew became missing on a night intruder mission in Korea. He was awarded the Air Medal, Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal, U.N. Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.

Edward Leo Holecek was born Feb. 16, 1925 to Edward and Soph A. Vondracek Holecek. He died June 8, 1988 and is buried in Cedar Memorial Park, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Edward served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II.

David William Holley was born Feb. 7, 1921 to David L. and Catherine Holley. He died Mar. 17, 1945 and is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.

Sgt. Holley served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was MIA/KIA on an airplane crash at Futabti Internees Camp, Kobe, Japan.

Avon D. Hollopeter was born May 14, 1905 to Vernon and Jessie M. Marcellus Hollopeter. He died Oct. 4, 1944 and is buried in Cedar Memorial Park, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Pvt. Hollopeter served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was MIA and became a
POW and died as a POW in Meiningen, Germany.

Roy Joseph Holub was born July 22, 1918 to Victor M. and Rose Marie Marek Holub. He died Feb. 17, 1998 and is buried in Greenwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Fort Worth, TX.

Roy served with the U.S. Army in World War II in Europe and Africa and was the recipient of two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.

Ira Franklin Hook was born Feb. 1919 to Fred and Ida H. Gangstead Hook. He died Nov. 28, 1942 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery,Taguig City, Philippines.

Pvt. Hook served in World War II with the U.S. Army 128th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Infantry Division and was KIA in the Southwest Pacific area and awarded the Purple Heart.

Glenn Leroy Hoover was born Dec. 13, 1920 to James and Wilhelmina Elizabeth Notbohm Hoover. He died July 4, 1944 and is buried in Dunkard Cemetery, Midway, IA.

Lt . Hoover served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a navigator of a B-24 bomber and was killed in a collision at Palm Springs, CA.

Arthur Randall Horsburgh was born Nov. 7, 1920 to James R. and Elsie M. Burger Horsburgh. He died June 16, 2009 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Sgt. Horsburgh served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Theodore E. Houck was born Oct. 23, 1912 to Harry A. and Maude L. Hoover Houck. He died Jan. 14, 1945 and is buried in Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup, IA.

Cpl. Houck served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 40th Bomb Group, 58th Bomb Wing, 20th Air Force and died when he and a crew of ordnance men were unloading fragmentation clusters from B-29 #42-24581 “Little Clambert” when a bomb fell from the bomb rack and exploded. This caused a series of explosions and fires that killed many men including Cpl. Evans.

Emanuel Christopher House was born Dec. 8, 1918 to Louis and Emma Wickham House. He died Feb. 10, 1944 and is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, IA..

Sgt. House served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. B, 509th Parachute Infantry Battalion and was KIA in Italy.

Robert Hughes “Bob” Hoyt was born May 21, 1916 to Bert C. and Maud Lindeman Hoyt. He died Jan. 26, 1993 and is buried in Cedar Memorial Park, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Robert served in World War II with the U.S. Army.
