Jesse Wyman Nichols was born Feb. 4, 1925 to Ovel Wyman and Alra Myrtle Gibbs Nichols. He died July 9, 1944 and is buried in Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.

Pvt. Nichols served in World War II with the U.S. Army 349th Infantry Regiment, 88th Infantry Division and was KIA in Italy and awarded the Purple Heart.
