Rogers Leighton Jenkinson was born Nov. 19, 1919 to Harry Rogers and Golda Eva Leighton Jenkinson. He died Jan. 16, 1946 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Lt. Jenkinson served in World War II with the U.S. Navy as a fighter pilot based on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific. He was lost at sea near Formosa and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross Knight.
