James Francis Carlin was born Jan. 31, 1925 to Charles Vincent and Mary Agnes Britt Carlin. He died Aug. 27, 1944 and is buried in Brittany American Cemetery, Montjoie Saint Martin, France.

Sgt. Carlin served in World War II with the U.S. Army 315th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Darrell Kentral Carnahan was born Aug. 7, 1920 to Harry and Charlotte “Lottie” Easton Carnahan. He died Feb. 18, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Carnahan served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Barbel (SS-316) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when his ship was sunk by an air attack. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Paul Vincent Clements was born Oct. 24, 1910 to Emmet and Rilla Smith Clements. He died Mar. 1, 1985 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City, IA.

Paul served in World War II with the U.S. Navy.

Walter Luce Conant was born Jan. 13, 1900 to William Hunter and Sophia Black Conant. He died July 5, 1983 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City, IA.

Walter served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Detachment at Camp Babler, MO. He also served in World War I.
