William Edward Trout AKA Bill Edward Puffingbarger was born Nov. 19, 1909 to Paul Edward and Fannie Bell Trout Puffinbarger. He died June 11, 1998 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA. He was raised by his grandparents, William M. and Elvia Trout after his mother died while he was still a child.

William served in World War II with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater of Operations.
