Earl Eldon Reed was born Aug. 17, 1925 to Elmer Leroy and Laura Maria Sanders Reed. He died June 2, 1948 and is buried in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton, IA. 

Petty Officer Reed served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Robert Charles “Bob” Reichelt was born Feb. 10, 1915 to Harry H. and Lola Long Reichelt. He died July 11, 1944/FOD Jan. 18,1946 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 1, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Our Silent City Cemetery, Kellogg, IA.

Petty Officer Reichelt served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Golet (SS-361) when that vessel was sunk, probably by depth charge attack. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Joseph Dean Revell was born Nov. 8, 1926 to Homer William and Beulah Marie Fry Revell. He died Aug. 25, 2018 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Joseph served with the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army in World War II and Korea.

Lloyd A. Rich was born Jan. 17, 1917 to Clyde and Mary F. Curtis Rich. He died Nov. 28, 1993 and is buried in Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.

Pvt. Rich served in World War II with the U.S. Army 1st Infantry Division, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Battalion, Company A on Omaha Beach on D-Day.

Robert Gilbert Riley was born Nov. 11, 1921 to Jerry and Carry Robinson Riley. He died June 22, 2000 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA OR National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ. (conflicting information found)

Petty Officer Riley served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Jacob John Rozenberg was born May 12, 1918 to William and Maggie Van Hulzen Rozenberg. He died Feb. 26,1945 and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Pella, IA. He was initially buried in the 3rd Marine Division Cemetery on Iwo Jima and returned to the U.S. in 1948.

Sgt. Rozenberg served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division and was KIA in combat operations on Iwo Jima.

Carroll Arthur Rucker was born Sept. 23, 1924 to Lee R. and Elizabeth Kelly Rucker. He died Oct. 13, 1948 and is buried in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton, IA.

Carroll served in World War II with the U.S. Navy Seabees.
