Boyd B. Nelson was born Mar. 6, 1921 to Engvald Joseph and Martha N. Prescott Nelson. He died Mar. 11, 1945 and is buried in Stavanger Cemetery, Hardin County, IA. He was initially buried in the 5th Marine Division Cemetery, Iwo Jima and returned to the U.S. in 1948.

Pvt. Nelson served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 28th Regiment, 5th Division and was KIA in combat operations on Iwo Jima.

Roy Marcus Norman was born June 3, 1917 to John Thomas Wesley and Nora Addie Myrtle Brindle Norman. He died Oct. 15, 1985 and is buried in Union Cemetery, Union, IA.

Roy served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Lyle James Nott was born Feb. 2, 1925 to Leo Lawrence and Lela Allen Nott. He died Sept. 17, 1944 and is buried in Alden Cemetery, Alden, IA.

Petty Officer Nott served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was KIA while in the service of his country.
