Elso Irvin Thomas was born May 16, 1921 to Lewis Samuel and Carrie Ryks Thomas. He died Dec. 9, 1944 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Dinoze, France.
Pvt. Thomas served in World War II with the U.S. Army 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He died of wounds received in action and was awarded the Purple Heart.
