Berkley Emmet “Berky" Smith was born Oct. 7, 1908 to George Washington and Della Melissa Clark Smith. He died May 7, 1948 and is buried in Orange Township Cemetery, Guthrie County, IA. 

Sgt. Smith served with the U.S. Army 529th Ordnance Medium Automotive Maintenance Company in World War II.

George Earl Smith was born Aug. 29, 1921 to Edward E. and Nellie Alice Shaw Smith. He died Sept. 14, 1941 and is buried in Dalmanutha Cemetery, Guthrie Center, IA.

Petty Officer Smith served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and died while serving aboard the USS Chenango (CVE-28).

Earle Gustavus Stoy was born Feb. 5, 1907 to Gustavus George and Margie Hackthorn Stoy. He died Mar. 15, 1943 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

Maj. Stoy served in World War II with the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps.
