Charles Wellington Carlson was born Mar. 10, 1915 to George A. and Myrtle Starr Carlson. He died Jan. 7, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. He also has a cenotaph in Rose Hill Cemetery, Grundy Center, IA. 

Sgt. Carlson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a gunner on B-24J #42-73449, 528th Bomber Squadron, 380th Bomber Group, Heavy. He was declared MIA when his bomber did not return to base. The missing craft was never located. Charles was awarded the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Purple Heart.

Gordon Oliver Carnes was born June 10, 1914 to Elmer Oliver and Bessie Olive Jones Carnes. He died May 19, 1972 and is buried in Springvale Botanical Cemetery, Springvale, Victoria, Australia. 

Gordon served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Richard Lee Carnes was born June 13, 1916 to Elmer Oliver and Bessie Olive Jones Carnes. He died Feb. 5, 1970 and is buried in Conrad Cemetery, Conrad, IA. 

Pvt. Carnes served with the U.S. Army Medical Dept. in World War II.
