Rueben Edward Daake was born Mar. 28, 1905 to Adolph August and Martha Louise Schmidt Daake. He died June 6, 1999 and is buried in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City, IA.

Sgt. Daake served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Arthur Irvine “Dusty" Daehn was born Jan. 25, 1925 to Oscar Christian and Jean Evelyn Irvine Daehn. He died Feb. 23, 1945 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint Avold, France. He has a cenotaph in the Dobson Cemetery, Garwin, IA. 

2nd Lt. Daehn served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a bombardier with the 828th Bomber Squadron (B-24 Liberator Squadron), 485th Bomber Group, Heavy. He was KIA and awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.

John Burgess Daehn was born June 21, 1926 to Oscar Christian and Jean Evelyn Irvine Daehn. He died Nov. 25, 2012 in CO. John served in World War II with the U.S. Navy.

Gerald “Jerry" Anthony Daley was born Feb. 23, 1923 to John Dennis and Genevieve “Jennie” Frances McCabe Daley. He died Dec. 14, 2010 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, IA.

Jerry served in World War II with the U.S. Army 3rd Army in England, France, The Battle of the Bulge, and Germany.
