Kenneth Leroy Thomas was born July 26, 1920 to Roy E. and Bertha Blanche Starr Thomas. He died Sept. 17, 1944 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, IA. 

Pvt. Thomas served in World War II with the U.S. Army 134th Infantry and was MIA/KIA in France and awarded the Purple Heart.

Duane Jerald “Tommy” Thompson was born Oct. 26, 1924 to John and Marguerite Wells Thompson. He died Jan. 6, 1995 and is buried in Gods Acres Cemetery, Clermont, IA.

Duane served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 326th Base Unit.

Frederick Eugene “Fred” Thompson was born Apr. 18, 1916 to John and Marguerite Thompson. He died Mar. 9, 2004 and is buried in Garden of Memories, Waterloo, IA.

Cpl. Thompson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 4th Armored Division, Signal Corps and was awarded 5 battle stars.

Richard John Thompson was born Aug. 4, 1910 to John and Marguerite Wells Thompson. He died Oct. 20, 1990 and is buried in Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, Sacramento, CA.

Pvt. Thompson served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Melvin Duane “Duane” Tyler was born Nov. 30, 1925 to Roy A. and Jennier Pantier Tyler. He died Nov. 25, 2005 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Pvt. Tyler served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Ralph Oley Tyler was born May 2, 1922 to James M. and Stella Clark Tyler. He died Oct. 11, 1943 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 2, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and in Taylorsville Cemetery, Arlington, IA.

Petty Officer Tyler served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Wahoo (SS-238) which was sunk by a combination of air attack and depth charging in La Perouse Strait, Northern Japan. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
