Daniel James Raftis, Jr. was born Apr. 25, 1921 to Daniel James (Sr.) and and Anna D. Raftis. He died June 27, 1944 and is buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Elkader, IA.

Lt. Raftis served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and died in the Mediterranean area while serving his country.

Raymond Lloyd Rath was born Sept. 15, 1916 to Lloyd and Helen Beatrice Neighbor Rath. He died June 26, 1947 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, IA. 

Raymond served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

John Byron Rechkemmer was born May 12, 1926 to Oscar and Delores Marguerite Byron Rechkemmer. He died May 5, 1945 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, IA.

Petty Officer Rechkemmer served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Luce (DD-522) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when that vessel was sunk in a kamikaze attack off Kerama Retto. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

George Edward (Sr.) and Anna M. Persson Riley Family

George Edward Riley, Jr. was born Feb. 12, 1921 to George Edward (Sr.) and Anna M. Persson Riley. He died July 30, 1997 and is buried in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Porterville, CA.

George served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

James Whitcomb Riley was born Apr. 6, 1924 to George Edward and Anna Marie Persson Riley. He died Sept. 26, 2013 on Cleveland, TN.

James served in World War II with the U.S. Navy Seabees.

Peter Nathan Riley was born Oct. 12, 1916 to Edward and Anna Marie Persson Riley. He died Nov. 24, 2006 and is buried in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Springfield, Springfield, MO.

Sgt. Riley served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
