William Edward Quirk was born Nov. 19, 1920 to William E. and Sadie Callahan Quirk. He died Apr. 15, 1945 and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, IA.

Lt. Quirk served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was KIA on Okinawa Island, Ryukyu Islands in the performance of his duty and service of his country.
