Robert Woodrick Maas was born Mar. 13, 1925 to Joseph and Catherine Jellison Maas. He died July 15, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.

Pvt. Maas served in World War II with the U.S. Army 115th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division and was KIA in France and awarded the Purple Heart.

William D. Maher was born May 4, 1897 to Timothy and Julia Sickle Maher. He died Jan. 31, 1943 and is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, IA. Sgt. Maher served in World War II with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry.

Donald William Mai was born Oct. 9, 1924 to William and Katherine Keller Mai. He died Feb. 15, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Mai served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS La Vallette (DD-448) which was extensively damaged by a mine in the Asiatic area. Six were killed and 23 wounded. Donald died from his wounds.

Howard M. Maiers was born Apr. 1, 1919 to Henry E. and Kathryn Clemens Maiers. He died Dec. 5, 1948 and is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, IA. Howard served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.

Kenneth L. Manahl was born Dec. 19, 1924 to Leo and Mathilda Blocklinger Manahl. He died July 11, 1945 and is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.

Sgt. Manahl served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 434th Bomb Squadron and died in an airplane crash in India while in the service of his country.

Edward Henry Martin was born July 26, 1918 to Edward and Pearl Washington Martin. He died July 22, 1946 and is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque, IA. Pvt. Martin served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.

William J. Martin was born Dec. 23, 1916 to William and Genevieve A. Rafferty Martin. He died May 12, 1944 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.

2nd Lt. Martin served in World War II with the U.S. Army 339th Infantry Regiment, 85th Infantry Division and was KIA in Italy. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
