Lt. Haas served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 356th Fighter Squadron, 354th Fighter Group and died in an airplane crash at Red Bluff, CA.

Richard W. Haigh was born Jan. 3, 1921 to James and Effie May Atchison Haigh. He died Feb. 25, 1945 and is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.

Sgt. Haigh served in World War II with the U.S. Army 743rd Infantry Training Battalion and was KIA while engaging the enemy in Germany in the drive past the Roer River.

Vladimire Edward Hamilton, Jr. was born Sept. 30, 1924 to Vladimire Edward (Sr.) and Dorothy Pauline Oblesser Hamilton. He died June 26, 1944 and is buried in Saint Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.

Pvt. Hamilton served in World War II with the U.S. Army 314th Infantry and was KIA in France in the service of his country.

Franklin Hancock AKA Frank Virtue was born Feb. 2, 1922 to Minnie Elizabeth Virtue. He was adopted by John Clifford and Louise Manchester Hancock. He died Apr. 2, 1945 and is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.

Lt. Hancock served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 822nd Bomb Squadron, 38th Bomb Group and was MIA/KIA over Formosa. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Francis Milton Henkel was born about 1923 to Jacob and Mathilda “Tillie” Lang Henkel. He died Mar. 26, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Henkel served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Tullibee (SS-284) and was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart when that vessel was sunk, probably by a circular run of its own torpedo.
