Jesse Lee Star, Jr. was born July 4, 1913 to Jesse L. (Sr.) and Edna Miller Saar. He died Jan. 1, 1999 and is buried in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, IA.

Capt. Saar served in World War II with the U.S. Army 109th Medical Battalion, 34th Infantry Division and was awarded the Bronze Star and a citation for meritorious service in support of combat operations in Italy.

Leonard Walter Stark was born Oct. 21, 1917 to Clarence L. and Rose B. Enger Stark. He died Aug. 8, 1946 and is buried in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, IA. Leonard served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Lt. Stelle served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 387th Fighter Squadron, 365th Fighter Group and was KIA in France and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart and Air Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters.

Everett Herman Stigge was born June 16, 1910 to William Frederick and Amelia Schwerin Stigge. He died July 26, 1971 and is buried in Prairie Grove Cemetery, West Burlington, IA.

Pvt. Stigge served in World War II with the U.S. Army 31st Infantry, Philippine Division and became a Japanese POW.
