Blair Henry Shaffer was born Feb. 21, 1925 to Howard William and Doris Mayme Warth Shaffer. He died Jan. 24, 2016.

Pvt. Shaffer served in World War II with the U.S. Army 25th Division, 161st Infantry and received a Purple Heart.

Harold Wayne Shaw was born Mar. 6, 1926 to George J. and Minnie M. Shaw. He died Aug. 2, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England.

Petty Officer Shaw served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Biscayne (AVP-11) and USS Fiske (DE-143) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when the Fiske was torpedoed by a German submarine in the North Atlantic. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Ivan Laurice “Shep” Shepherd was born Aug. 3, 1921 to Irvin E. and Allie Eakins Shepherd. He died July 7, 2003 and is buried in Augusta Cemetery, Augusta, IA.

Pvt. Shepherd served in World War II with the U.S. Army 211th Military Police Company.
