Walter Harold Thompson AKA Harold Walter Thompson was born July 1, 1911 to William B. and Lena M. Flanagan Thompson. He died Mar. 20, 1945 and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium and has a cenotaph in Buck Creek Cemetery, Delaware County, IA.

Sgt. Thompson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 142nd Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division and was KIA in Germany and was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.

Edwin P. Timmer was born Aug. 23, 1920 to John Henry and Frances Rubner Timmer. He died Nov. 9, 1982 and is buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Earlville, IA.

Edwin served in World War II with the U.S. Army Company H, 18th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division and was on Omaha Beach on D-Day. He was awarded the Bronze Star.
