Eldon Myron Engle was born July 11, 1925 to J. H. Engle, Jr. and Elsie Margaret Stellish Engle. He died May 18, 1945 and is buried in Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, IA.

Petty Officer Engle served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was KIA (at sea) in the service of his country in the Asiatic area.

Oliver Leslie Erickson was born Dec. 3,1916 to Anton Edward and Erdena Mae Erickson. He died Aug. 9, 1942 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in North Lawn Cemetery, Spencer, IA.

Petty Officer Erickson served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Vincennes (CA-44) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when that ship was sunk in the Battle of Savo Island. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
