Gene Payton Williams was born Jan. 2, 1921 to Charles Albert and Lois Cogdill Williams. He died Oct. 3, 2000 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD.

Sgt. Williams served in World War II with the U.S. Army 62nd Armored Field Artillery Battalion at the Battle of the Bulge.

Sgt. Wilson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 103rd General Hospital.

Lawrence Francis Winkel was born Oct. 7, 1924 to Joseph F. and Cecilia Horn Winkel. He died Apr. 8, 1943 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Pvt. Winkel served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was MIA/FOD/KIA when his plane failed to return from a mission in the Solomon Islands area. He was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.

Kenneth served in World War II with the U.S. Navy in the return of the Philippines, then was sent to Japan with the Occupation Forces.

Leonard served in World War II with the U.S. Army 177th Field Artillery Group.
