Iver O. Olsen was born June 2, 1919 to George H. and Modil M. Rasmussen Olsen. He died Sept. 6, 1944 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.

Sgt Olsen served in World War II with the U.S. Army 24th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron and was KIA in Belgium and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Petty Officer Olson served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Warrington (DD-383) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when that vessel sank in the Atlantic after steaming directly into a hurricane.
