Walter John Frederick Hobermann was born Sept. 30, 1919 to William J. and Minnie Miller Hobermann. He died May 2, 1997 and is buried in Storm Lake Cemetery, Storm Lake, IA. Sgt. Hobermann served with the U.S. Army 701st Military Police Battalion.

Herbert Arthur Hoch was born Sept. 14, 1918 to Arthur Oscar and Gladys Harvey Hoch. He died Oct. 20, 1951 and is buried in Newell Cemetery, Newell, IA. MSgt. Hoch served with the U.S. Army 342nd Infantry, 86th Infantry Division in World War II. He was awarded the Bronze Star.

George Christian Holdren was born Nov. 20, 1924 to Irvin R. and Christina Peterson Holdren. He was the step-son of John Salton. He died Nov. 30, 2015 and is buried in Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, NE. Sgt. Holdren served in World War II with the 17th and 82nd Airborne Divisions and fought in both the Battle of the Bulge and crossing the Rhine in Operation Varsity in Europe. He participated in the New York City Victory Parade down 5th Avenue.

Louis Carroll “Jack” Hollesen was born Jan. 4, 1909 to Lew and Anine Elenore “Anna" Jensen Hollesen. Sgt. Hollesen served with the U.S. Army, being the first pre-Pearl Harbor Father to be called into the Armed Forces from Buena Vista County in World War II.
