Elmer Frederick Hoerman was born Apr. 18, 1906 to Frederick and Emma Ducker Hoerman. He died Dec. 9, 1988 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg, IA. 

Elmer served in World War II with the U.S. Army under Gen. Patton with the 818th Tank Destroyer Battalion. He was awarded many medals including five battle stars.

Walter Emory “Walt” Hoffman was born June 27, 1915 to William Carl and Ione Fannye Miller Hoffman. He died May 5, 1986 and is buried in Union Cemetery, Humboldt, IA. 

Sgt. Hoffman served in World War II with the U.S. Army and received 2 Purple Hearts and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge.

Roger Arthur Holm was born Feb. 16, 1915 to Carl H. Hildebrand and Louise Holm. He was the step-son of Herman William Niedert. He died Jan. 10, 1991 and is buried in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly, IA. 

Sgt. Holm served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in New Guinea and the Philippines in World War II. He received the Good Conduct Medal and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one star.
