Petty Officer Mulholland served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the LCT(8) Flotilla #1 and USS LCT(6) 1280.

Harry DeWitt Mulholland was born Jan. 7, 1918 to Leonard and Ariel Inman Mulholland. He died in 1990 and is buried in Saint Johns Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Harry served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Charles Oliver Murphy was born Oct. 22, 1918 to Oliver Clayton and Alice Minnie Noble Murphy. He died Jan. 3, 2011 and is buried in Saint Marys Catholic Cemetery, Allamakee County, IA.

Chief Petty Officer Murphy served in World War II with the U.S. Navy as a Pharmacist’s Mate. He served aboard the USS Yorktown (CV-10), USS Saratoga (CV-3), USS Lexington (CV-2) and the YMS-346. He was stationed in Pearl Harbor and transferred to the Atlantic Fleet and was present at the Normandy Invasion. Shore duty included Naval Hospitals in Bethesda, MD and Jacksonvile, FL.

Dennis Joseph Murphy was born Aug. 12, 1921 to Robin H. and Isabelle J. Farrell Murphy. He died Dec. 20, 1943 and is buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, CA.

2nd Lt. Murphy served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 303rd Bomb Group.
