Dwight Luther Agnew was born Dec. 28, 1911 to Charles Clinton and Ella Josephine Dunlop Agnew. He died June 5, 2002 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Menomonie, WI.

1st Sgt. Agnew served in World War II with the U.S. Army 169th Engineer Combat Battalion and 1542nd Engineer Base Survey Co., 29th Engineer Topographic Battalion.

Clement Anthony “Clem” A'Hearn was born Apr. 14, 1920 to Joseph Michael and Agnes Hannah Dewitt A'hearn. He died Sept. 26, 2015 and is buried in Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, Mesa, AZ.

Clement served in World War II with the U.S. Navy Seabees 2nd and 26th Naval Construction Battalions and Construction Battalion Maintenance, Unit 607 in the Pacific Theater.

Gerald James A’Hearn was born Dec. 20, 1914 to Joseph Michael and Agnes Hannah Dewitt A’Hearn. He died Oct. 5, 1944 and is buried in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, KY.

Cpl. A’Hearn served in World War II with the U.S. Army 17th Tank Battalion, 7th Armored Division and was MIA/KIA near Overloon, Holland. According to his obituary he took part in the invasion of France on D-Day. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

John M. A’Hearn was born Mar. 28, 1912 to Joseph Michael and Agnes Hannah Dewitt A’Hearn. He died Oct. 22, 1966 and is buried in Saint Marys Catholic Church Cemetery, Allamakee County, IA.

John served in World War II with the U.S. Army 814th Tank Destroyer Battalion. He also served in Korea.

Lawrence Donald “Bud Anderson was born Aug. 21, 1918 to August and Mabel L. Guider Anderson. He died Dec. 8, 1941* and is memorialized at the USS Arizona Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waukon, IA.

*On the morning of December 7, 1941, Ensign Anderson was on duty onboard the Arizona when it was hit by four Japanese bombs. The final one penetrated to the forward magazine and exploded with devastating loss of life. His battle station was Turret IV, far away from the massive explosion that sent Arizona to the bottom of the harbor. He somehow got off of the ship.

Ensign Anderson was badly injured when he was rescued and taken to the hospital ship USS Solace. He died at 0045 on December 8, 1941.*

Ensign Anderson served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/FOD/KIA aboard the USS Arizona (BB-39) at Pearl Harbor.

Paul Daniel Anderson was born Oct. 26, 1921 to August R. and Mabel Guider Anderson. He died Feb. 4, 2011 and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waukon, IA.

Ens. Anderson served in World War II with the U.S.Naval Air Corps and served aboard the USS Solomon Island (CVE-67).

Ralph Augustine Anderson was born Apr. 17, 1923 to August R. and Mabel Guider Anderson. He died June 17, 1991 and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waukon, IA.

Ralph served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 861st Bomb Squadron, 493rd Bomb Group.
