IOWA'S "OLD MEN" IN ITALY -- These are men of headquarters, 133rd infantry regiment of the 34th division of the 5th army in northern Italy, who had completed 3 years service overseas without furlough. The world war II "veterans' left New York, Jan 15, 1942 for Belfast, Ireland to form the nucleus of the present A.E.F. in Europe. Most of the men are from Iowa but others are from Michigan, Minnesota, and North Dakota. Names of the soldiers are not included in the description of the picture sent by War Correspondent Frank Miles from Italy for distribution to IDPA papers. (IDPA Photo)
