I am adding diaries of Bailey and Mary Jane Purcell Street and Minnie
White Street Bielski. They
lived mostly in the Quaker community of Hesper, Winneshiek County, Iowa. Their diaries
span a number of years and give information from a daily note on the weather to
family and community news and a glimpse of the work and faith that was needed to
survive. As time allows, I will add photos and maps. If anyone has
diaries of Winneshiek County residents they would like to add to this page,
