Commencement at the Immaculate Conception Academy occurred much earlier this year than formerly, the exercises being held at the school building last Thursday evening at 7:30 o’clock. In spite of inclement weather a large audience was present. The program was a long one and embodied a variety and excellence which has always been a feature of the school. The graduates were Misses Mary Whalen and Lena Steyer, and they acquitted themselves in a manner which reflects much credit upon themselves and their teachers. The principal number of the program was “The Pleiades,’’ a play in two scenes. Two drills occurring In the play captivated everyone and are spoken of in the highest terms of praise. They wore the “Sunflowers” and “Revel of the Naiads.” The efforts of all who participated in the program must have been gratifying in the extreme to the faculty of the academy and the parents of the children.
