IMMACULATE CONCEPTION ACADEMY.
|
The eleventh annual commencement exorcises of the Immaculate Conception Academy were held on Tuesday evening last in the assembly room of the school on John street. Although the night was a very warm one a large assemblage of friends and patrons of the school was present. The program was a long one and introduced a variety of vocal and instrumental selections, essays, recitations, drills, etc., which were very enjoyable. Little children are always very Interesting, and "The Bonnie Little Brownies” and “Dancing on the Green” were received in the heartiest manner. Among other good numbers “The Interviewer" by Frank Kelley was entertaining. There were but two graduates, this year, Leo Hutchinson and Edward Powers. At the close of a dialogue "The Vestal Virgins," medals were conferred upon the graduates, followed by the Valedictory and the closing number "Immaculata Conceptlo."
