Victor served in the U.S. Army. He works at Swiss Valley Milk Producers. He has a daughter, Victoria. She married David Svendsen. They farm near Castalia. Their children are: John and Jessica. Dina  is a nurse at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA. Lisa married Michael Heins of Postville. Lisa is a nurse at the Good Samaritan Home in Postville. They have 3 daughters: Danielle, Brittany and Kelsey. Shannon was born 8 Oct 1965. Michael was born 22 May 1969 and died in 1995. Marilyn married Duane Wander. They live in Riverside, CA. They have 3 children: Randy, Cindy and Kim. Leon served in the U.S. Army. He married Fayne Treim. They live in Postville. They have 3 children: Brett, Mark and Elizabeth (Liz). Dianne  married Robert Meyer, Jr. of Postville. They farm in the Postville area. Their daughter is Jacqueline who married Craig Walby. Their children are: Brandon, Jonathan and Elizabeth. After the death of Robert Meyer, Dianne married Bill Buddenberg on 6 Jun 1992.

Cheryl Louise (Bolson) Schroeder

Cheryl Bolson was born in Decorah, IA to Ransome Lawrence and Constance Harriet (Hexom) Bolson. She was baptized at Decorah Lutheran 20 Jan 1946 by her grandfather, Rev. William T Hexom, pastor of the Big Canoe and Highland Lutheran churches. Cheryl’s sponsors were her great grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. George Young, Sr., her uncle Charles Hexom and her aunts Eunice Hexom and Vernetta Bolson. Cheryl attended Decorah Lutheran Church and then Good Shepherd Lutheran where her father was one of the founders. The church was dedicated in 1958. Cheryl was confirmed at Good Shepherd 21 May 1961 by Pastor Palmer Russeth.

Cheryl attended the Decorah schools graduating in 1963 from Decorah High School. She played flute 5th through 12th grade, playing “first chair flute" as a senior.

Cheryl has a strong religious faith and is a good church member wherever she lives. She has belonged to Decorah Lutheran and Good Shepherd in Decorah, Zion Lutheran in Waterloo, St. Paul Lutheran and Jesus is the Answer Fellowship, both in Ottumwa. She has worked various places: as a baby sitter, Deco Manufacturing Company in Decorah, Avon representative, Music Land, Ottumwa Hospital, as home health aide, Hormel Company, and as a nanny and child care provider. She plays the piano and gave piano lessons when she lived in Decorah.

Cheryl has two children: Christopher Bergan and Jennifer Bergan. As youngsters the children had paper routes, Christopher with the Telegraph Herald and Jennifer with the Des Moines Register. Before moving to Ottumwa, Christopher finished 9th grade and Jennifer the 8th grade. Christopher has two children: Brooke and Bradley.
