Juanita Ardell Steele was born to Harold R. and Amanda R. (Stegen) Steele. She is a brown-eyed blonde with lots of energy. Juanita lived in rural Decorah until she was 16.

She moved to Cedar Rapids where she met and married Harry Randall. They had 4 children: twins Jerry and Terry, Tammy and Garry. She was divorced. Her second marriage was to Gerald Prideaux of Sumner, IA. They have one daughter Amanda, a college graduate, who uses music therapy with handicapped children and young adults.

Juanita successfully initiated and carried out a program for the needy in and around Sumner, working with numerous churches and social services in the area. She has assisted many adults and children over the years. She loves poetry and writes poems.
