Appointed to the from Leland, Winnebago county. He graduated No. 32 in the class of 1903, and is at present Second Lieutenant, 35th Co. Coast Artillery' stationed at Ft. Monroe, Virginia.

died March 3, 1985, buried in Arlington National Cemetery

Rollin Steinmetz, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Rollin Steinmetz has received word of his appointment as a cadet to the West Point Military Academy. "Bo" a graduate of BCHS and a student at SUI passed the examination with a high average.

....perhaps more familiarily known to Buffalo Center's older residents as "Beau", he is a graduate of our local high school and entered the University of Iowa where he completed two and one half years of Chemical Engineering before World War II advanced to involvement for the United States. In July 1938 he entered the United States Military Academy at West Point, graduating as a 2nd Lt. on the 29th of May, 1942
