Pfc. Stanley H. Pearce


Pfc. Pearce, son of Mrs. Anna Pearce, was reported missing Jan 21, 1945. It was not learned that he had been taken prisoner until the announcement of his release from the Fallingbostel prison camp, north of Hanover, Germany, was made April 7. The prisoners were rescued by advancing British of the 7th armored division.

Sgt. Stanley Pearce arrived from overseas where he has been a German prisoner of war for 90 days. He was given a 60-day furlough to visit his mother, Mrs. Anna Pearce, and sister Melba before reporting back for duty.
