Pvt. Irvin Mannes

Pvt. Mannes was wounded in action in Germany (around Aachen) in October, 1944, only seven months after entering the service. He is a son of Mrs. John Mannes. He is now hospitalized at the Barnes General Hospital, Vancouver, Wash. He suffered serious leg wounds. He arrived back in New York in January.

Irvin was the son of Sivert Johan (John) Mannes and Anna Pahmiyer. Irvin & his wife lived in Bellflower, California, after he was discharged from the service.
