MRS. MARGARET HARTNETT

Mrs. Margaret Hartnett, 97 Park Manor Care Center, died Friday at Park Manor
Care Center where she had been a patient for seven years. Services will be at
10 a.m. Tuesday in the Rose Room of Bruce Memorial Chapel and at 10:30 a.m.
at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Louis Kollasch, administrator, will
officiate at the mass of the resurrection and burial will be in Corpus
Christi Cemetery.

A rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Surviving are six
grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Sons
Raymond and Robert Sheker preceded her in death.

Margaret Faiferlick was born in Czechoslovakia and came to this area as a
small child with her family. She attended the county rural schools and
married Wesley Sheker in 1901 at Fort Dodge. They farmed south of Fort Dodge.
Mr. Sheker died some time ago and Mrs. Sheker moved into Fort Dodge after his
death.

In 1942 she married Frank J. Hartnett in Fort Dodge and they made their home
here. He died in 1969.

FRANK J. HEARTEN

Frank J. Hearten, 82, of 912 Central Ave. Died Thursday morning at Mercy
Hospital following a short illness.

Services will be at 8:30 am Saturday in the Colonial Chapel of the
Laufersweiler Funeral Home and at 9 am in Sacred Heart Church with the Very
Rev. Msgr. Gerald Kelly officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery at
Gilmore City.

The Knights of Columbus will meet at 8 p.m. Friday for rosary services at the
funeral home where friends may call after 10 am Friday.

Surviving are the widow; three daughters, Mrs. William Brand, Inglewood,
Calif.; Mrs. Abe Castagnolio, Fort Dodge; Mrs. Iola Brown, Chicago, Ill; two
stepsons, Robert and Ray Sheker, both of Fort Dodge; a number of
grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters and a brother, John
Hartnett and Mrs. Annie Green, both of Gilmore City and Mrs. Nora Landmesser,
Estherville.

Mr. Hartnett was born in Gilmore City and attended rural schools. In 1911 he
married Rose Bonne and the couple established their home there. In 1925 they
moved to Fort Dodge. Mrs. Hartnett died in 1935. Several years ago he married
Mrs. Margaret Sheker in Fort Dodge where the couple made their home.

Mr. Hartnett was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
