MRS. ANNA EDVENSON, 76, A RESIDENT HERE MANY YEARS IS DEAD

Mrs. Anna Edvenson, 76, a resident of this community since 1881, died at
Mercy Hospital Sunday afternoon following an illness of several years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 at the Laufersweiler
Funeral Home and at 9:00 at Corpus Christi Church. Monsignor T. J. Davern,
pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery.

Mrs. Edvenson, born in Bohemia April 25, 1876, came to the United States with
her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Faiferlick. The family came directly
to Webster County and settled on a farm northeast of Fort Dodge. December 18,
1894, she was married to Jacob Edvenson, and the couple made their home in
Fort Dodge. Mr. Edvenson died in 1937.

Surviving her is a sister, Mrs. Frank Hartnett of Fort Dodge; and a number of
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,
four sisters and four brothers. Although her health had been failing for
several years, her condition did not become critical until Sunday morning.
She was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital, where she died a few hours
later.

J. C. EDVENSON, RESIDENT HERE 50 YEARS, DIES

J. C. Edvenson, a resident of Webster County for over fifty years, died early
today at his home six miles south of Fort Dodge following an illness of
several months. Mr. Edvenson was 68 years old.

Surviving are his widow, two sisters, Mrs. John Ebert and Mrs. Mary Remington
of Huron, S. D. and two brothers, Andrew of Huron and George of Minneapolis.
Three brothers and his parents preceded him in death.

Funeral services will take place Thursday morning at 9:00 at the
Laufersweiler Funeral Parlors and at 9:30 at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will
be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. The body will be at the funeral parlors until
the time of service.
