The differences in these townships
in present day is: Wahkonsa is split in half. The
northern
half is now Cooper Township and the
southern half remains Wahkonsa; the north 3rd of Gowrie
and the south 3rd of Fulton is now
Roland Township; and Sumner has been renamed to Burnside
with a small township of Sumner in the
NE corner of the township encompassing the town of Lehigh.
