of Commander, William Kellogg, during Civil War
Wm. Kellogg, Veteran of Civil War and Commander was name of the Kellogg Post No. 186 of Seymour, Iowa. To which was buried after the War in National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tenessee. He was killed at the Mission Ridge Battle November 25, 1863, at Chattanooga, Tennessee, where said National Cemetery was located. Serving with William Kellogg, were two brothers in service, Isaac Kellogg and David Kellogg, being buried at National Cemetery at Memphis, Tenn. The following member's were put on
Charter, when first organization was formed on June 7th,
1883. Later held total membership of 112 Veterans of all
Civil War. The organization was very active up to the death of
the last member, which was William H. Earnest.
