Paupers at the Warren County Poor Farm

There are few records on Warren County's 2nd Poor Farm (1869-1937). The 1879 History of Warren County, Iowa mentions that the Poor Farm had a four story main building 30 x 40 feet, plus 3 other buildings, each 14 x 40 feet, as well as a barn and a granary. From newspaper listings of the Board of Supervisors, the superintendents of the Poor Farm were as follows:
M. E. Young - 1877 to1879
Melancthion E. Young - 1880
Andrew McGlochlan - 1885
Jasper N. Hargis - 1889 to 1896
John Cochran - 1900
William Hewitt - 1910 to 1920
Gerdie L. Akers - 1930

Newspapers are plentiful in listing money allotted to individuals providing supplies and services to the County Poor Farm, but little is mentioned of the paupers who lived at the Farm. Below is a listing from the few sources that do mention paupers who resided at Warren County's 2nd Poor Farm.
