Conklin Cemetery

CONKLIN CEMETERY is located in the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 10 of Union Township. The cemetery is 2-1/2 miles north and 3/4 miles east of Sandyville, Iowa, and is back in the field north of an abandoned farm house. There is no access road to the cemetery.

Ethram and Sarah Conklin settled in Union Township in Section 10. When one of their children died, Ethram donated land for a cemetery, since there was not a burying ground near by.
