I am looking for family members of the
Frank Patrick family. They lived on Finley and he ran a
moving and storage company. We left Ottumwa in 1948 and I
was only able to go back one time to visit.
I would like to talk to some one in
the family to see if they have any information on Mrs. Patrick's
family. She was my mother's aunt.
Thank you for any information
you can give mem.

My
GG Grandfather lived in Otyumwa, Wapello County, Iowa. His
name was David Franklin HUNT, b) 27 Apr 1831 d) 27 Nov 1861. I
have not been able to confirm his State of birth, I believe it may
have been IN or NC. He was married Nancy Brown until his death
in 1861. He was struck and killed by lightening on the Des
Moines river two months before his son (my G Grandfather)
David Freeman HUNT was born. Nancy remarried a James WILSON
after his death and moved to South Dakota. David Franklin and
Nancy arrived in Iowa with a 12 year old girl named Ellen HUNT.
I can not identify the relationship of Ellen. Either
Nancy gave birth to Ellen when she was very very young, or Ellen was
a sibling or relative of David Franklin. My family can not
find any information on David Franklin Hunt prior to his arrival to
Iowa.
