HENRY KEATING

Henry Keating, whose honored name the Afton G. A. R. Post bears, died July 12, 1881, at South Thominson, Maine, at the age of forty-seven. He enlisted as a private in the 29th Iowa Infantry in 1862 and was a brave soldier until the close of the war. While he fell in the noonday of life he left a record for noble deeds that will ever keep green his memory with all who knew him.
