Subject: LOGAN We are searching for info on our ggreat grandparents William B. Logan and Hannah Moore. We have some info that leads us to believe that they were settled in Creston in or around 1856 to 1867 by some of the birth certificates of their children. We are having trouble locating any info on them during their years in Iowa. Any help and info is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Christy Logan Obermire

Subject: MILLER in Afton, Union County I am trying to find out information on my ggrandparents -- MILLER, Howard F.(b-OH 1855) and Maggie Paulus (b-OH 1859). Howard and Maggie died in Oklahoma. I'm not sure when they came to the Afton area (prior to 1884), but they lived on a farm - had a set of twins born Mar. 8, 1884 that died in 1884 & 85. They are buried in the Greenlawn Cemetery east of town. Howard and Maggie had another set of twins on May 13, 1895 (my grandfather was one of them). Sometime between 1895 and 1900, there was a tornado that destroyed their farm, and they packed up and came to Oklahoma arriving in Guthrie, Logan County, in 1900. Also, information needed on Howard's parents and siblings. His father was Thomas Charles MILLER (b 1832 - OH) and mother was Eliza Jane ? MILLER (b 1832 - VA). I do not know when they died, but it was in the Afton area. (His siblings are listed below.) Any information on their families, the location of their farm, or on the tornado, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for any help. Sherri Martin OTHER NAMES: Orlenza Miller Goin; George W. Miller; Charles E. Miller; Martha Miller ?; James H. Miller; Winnie Miller ?; (brothers and sisters of Howard F. Miller)

Three brothers came from Ireland to America along with their widowed Mother. HUGH, ROBERT , & SAM FISHER along with Mom, MARY BURTON FISHER. It was sometime between 1860 - 1890. Their Dad had been a railroad man so maybe they were too. ROBERT FISHER met and married MARGARET AMELIA SCOTT in CRESTON, IOWA. Later they came to California to farm and have babies. ROBERT FISHER & MARGARET AMELIA SCOTT were my Great-Grandparents. I would treasure any information on these wonderful ancestors! Please share! Gratefully, KarenCA. DOTY_CARSTENSEN@MSN.COM
