Seeking information on parents of H. Fremont CUNNINGHAM (b. Sep 1851 MO, d. late 1920s IA) and wife Sarah E. (b. abt 1860 IA, d. abt 1925 KS). They were married around 1877 or early 1878 in IA. I would like to find marriage records. They were living in Adair Co. IA, Grand River Twp. in 1880 with 2 daughters: M. M. (age 2) and J. M. (age 1). The next daughter, Clara Verde, was born near Lorimor 27 Oct 1882. The other children, also born in IA were Bertha A. (b. Feb 1885), Gracie E. (b. Feb 1890), and John P. (b. 14 Nov 1892). The family moved to Elk Co. KS in 1898. After Sarah E. died, Fremont remarried. The 2nd wife died in 1926 and he returned to IA. Fremont and Sarah were buried in/near Waterloo IA because of some connection there (family?). Daughters J. M. (Jennie Maude) and Bertha lived in or near Winterset IA after they married. Would like to locate any living relatives of this family. Lee Wilson Blue Springs MO
Clara Verde CUNNINGHAM was born near Lorimor in 1882 to H. Fremont and Sarah E. CUNNINGHAM. Older and younger children were also born in IA but location isn't known. After the family moved to KS various members came back to visit and two sisters lived near Winterset after marriage.
I am researching my husband's family, and have discovered he had relatives residing in Creston at one time. There was an Esther Swanson who attended the Larson/Swanson reunions in Ottumwa. I have a clipping for sure of 1954. However, in 1926, a clipping states: Mr. and Mrs. August Swanson, and children, Walton, Bernard, Eleanor and Esther Lorraine of Creston. Therefore, this family must have resided near Creston for several years. Do you have obits of any Swansons for this time period 1926-1950's? Also, any obits of my ancestors, Garrett? School will not be completed this year until June 9, then I would like to drive to Creston, Chariton, and maybe Mills County to do some research. Any suggestions of what is available, time availability, and where/how to research would certainly be appreciated. Thanks. Judi Swanson Ottumwa

Dear Friends: My wife and I will be making a trip to the City of Afton and Counties of Union and Clarke looking for the grave sites of our GGG parents. Records show that they were raised there and more then likely died and was buried in one of the cemeteries listed on your well done web page. I would appreciate it so much if you would check and see if any of the "LAUGHERY'S" are a matter of record. This was a large family and all the males were carpenters as near as we can determine. Again thank you so much for your time and trouble' God Bless; Roy G. and Nadine V. Davidson
