need information on my gggrandfather Jacob Brown. He moved from Morgan Co, Ohio after 1860. He married a Elizabeth Sands 16 April 184 Children: Rebecca Brown born abt.1848 ,Ohio James Richardson Brown,born 10 November 1851 Morgan Co. Ohio, William H brown born abt. 1858 Morgan co , Ohio 1860 morgan Co.Ohio census shows Anne(Henry)as the wife .They moved to Iowa sometime after 1860. Hello Again, I'am interested in finding out the name or names of the elementary school in the Thayer, Jones Twp area. A Clara La Favre Smith was a teacher at this school in 1899. Clara's parents were Rev. Samuel La Favre and Margaret Whitson La Favre who lived in Creston, Iowa. Clara was my grandfather's, Floyd La Favre, first school teacher.
