HOEFFER, PETER born Lancaster Co. Pa 1813. Married SARAH Jones 1833-1835. Children, MARY 1836, JOHN 1838, WILLIAM 1840, LOUISA 1943 and SAMUEL PETER 1845 (our grandfather). The family moved to Covington, Ohio by 1848 where a son EDWIN was born 1849. Sarah died 1850 and PETER married ELLEN LINSEY.1855. They had MARTIM 1859,LAURA 1861, EFFIE 1864 and FRANK 1868. In 1883 the family was listed in the city directory as living at 503 S. Mulberry in Creston,Ia. Peter was last listed in 1893. Ellen was listed in 1895 at that address. MARTIN is listed 1893 living at 705 E. Monroe wife ALLIE. He worked for the railroad. He was still listed in 1927 directory. FRANK worked for the railroad also. He may have married BELLE EVANS as there is a record of a baby girl born to FRANK and BELLE EVANS HOEFFER July 3 1896. EFFIE married ? Garrett and lived in ST. My grandmother married James Alexandar Reed Nov. 25, 1901 in Creston, Iowa. Her name at that time was Phinney. Her maiden name was Buckley. During her married to Ruben Phinney they had three children Paul, Myrtle and Roy. Does anyone have any information on her. Thank You
