Samuel Fayette REDMAN, b. 5-27-1844 in Knox Co., OH, married Emma Elizabeth MOUSER b. 10-3-1844 in Johnstown, Licking Co., OH. They moved to Union Co., Iowa in 1867 where they engaged in farming. Later they moved to Polk Co., MO and then on to Oklahoma. Their Son John Americus Redman b. 7-10-1872 in Afton, Iowa married (2) Sally PAINTER daughter of George W. PAINTER. Interested in lineage of all and would exchange information on these families.
Seeking information on "descendants" of Elizabeth O'Harra Still and Jacob Gabriel Still. They had seven children; the last two died at very early ages. After Elizabeth's death from TB in 1910 at least two of the younger children were placed in an orphanage in Davenport. Children of Jacob and Elizabeth: Nellie M. STILL (b. abt. 1899; mar. George E. MORRIS in 1918 in Creston); Jesse J. STILL (b. abt. 1901, d. 1957, never married); Josephine STILL (mar. Leopold W. EGGERT in 1923 in Creston); Rosa E. STILL; Margaret J. STILL -- my husband's mother --(b. 1906 in Afton and adopted to a family in Tacoma, WA). Any information descendants of Nellie and George MORRIS and/or Josephone and Leopold W. EGGERT would be appreciated.
CORRECTION: LONG, Elmer G. was born in Creston abt 1888 to Albert Wakefield LONG, a son of Gabriel LONG. Need ANY information on this LONG family. Gabriel may have come from Virginia? Albert and family moved to Oregon around the turn of the century.

I am looking for information on my ggrandparents - HOWARD F. & MAGGIE MILLER. They lived in Afton before 1885 (had twin boy & girl) and then my grandfather and his twin (NEWELL CASPER & HARALD DEAN MILLER). Family story is that in 1900 there was a tornado that hit the area and destroyed their farm and also killed the twin boy & girl. They are buried in cemetary in Afton. After the tornado, the rest of family packed up and came to Oklahoma. Any information about the tornado of 1900 ?
I am looking for informationon Bessie STUBBLEFIELD. When my grandmother passed she had an old box of photos and ther was one of Bessie STUBBLEFIELD that was made in Creston, Iowa. It was sent to her aunt - Martha HAMILTON. Bessie has a wedding ring on ther right hand so I am guessing that STUBBLEFIELD was her married name. Her maiden name could have been HAMILTON or KING.
