evening, from tetanus, or lock-jaw, caused from a sliver in her foot.
The little girl ran a sliver in her foot while playing at
her home two weeks ago Tuesday. Part of it was removed by her parents and
apparently all of it was taken from the wound. She did not complain of her foot
hurting her, either while barefooted or with shoes and the wound looked like it
had healed.
Last Sunday she began complaining of her jaws hurting
her. Medical aid was then summoned and
she was given the anti-tetanus serum. Her condition did
not improve and she was taken to the hospital Sunday. All that could be done was
done to save her life but the infection had too firm of hold.
