Thelma Lenore Cobb

Died, Saturday afternoon, November 13, 1909, after an illness of only three days, Thelma Lenore, daughter of A. [den] D. and Leta M. [Knowles] Cobb, aged 5 months and 23 days.  The funeral services were held at the home Monday morning, conducted by Elder Hendrickson and burial was at Bedford.  The little life was short and full of suffering but it only made her dearer to the parents, and her death has left the hearts aching and lonely.   May the Heavenly Father comfort them and may they realize that she has only gone before and is "safe in the arms of Jesus."

Edna May Dougherty

Edna May, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dougherty, died Nov. 10, of pneumonia fever at the family residence, two miles west of town.  The little one was sick only a few days, and was not thought to be in a critical condition until a few hours before the end came.  She was only a few months old.  Like a beam of light she came into the home for a brief moment and filled the hearts of her parents with gladness and then went back to be with God forever.  Her presence in the home was like the rustle of an angel's wing, and now that she is gone heaven is dearer and more real to those who are left behind.  A short service was held at the home, conducted by Rev. S. E. Henry, and the little body was taken by loving hands and buried in the Titus cemetery.
